Thank you to everyone who donated to our 4th annual Auctions in August. This year was a great success and we raised over $186,000 for over 200 local, regional and national charities and non-profits. We hope to see you again next year!

“Auctions in August” is Gulf Coast Bank & Trust's silent auction event that is hosted at each of our 16 branches. The items available for bidding are donated by various organizations and individuals to be auctioned for specific charities, schools and other non-profit groups. The auction is open to everyone, bank employees, customers and the general public. Each branch houses several items for people to bid on, encouraging people to visit multiple branches to get the most out of their auction experience. All of the items are available for viewing on the auction website. Bidding on items located in a branch must be done in the branch or by phone, please check the “How to Participate” page for more details. There will be some items available for online bidding only. “Auctions in August” was created in the spring of 2008 as a community fundraising event. Our goal was to assist as many organizations in their fundraising efforts as we ever had before. This event allows us to work with the community to raise money for more than 200 organizations. Each year, the event grows larger and we hope to reach our $100,000 goal very soon.

“Auctions in August” is one of our largest fundraising events. Last year we raised approximately $60,000 for more than 200 local, regional and national charities and schools. Gulf Coast Bank has always been active with local schools and charity organizations, so, the bank decided to devote an entire month to extending these charitable efforts by involving the community. The bank's marketing budget for the month of August was dedicated solely to promoting this auction. Last year, our bid list featured more than 600 items, ranging from gift certificates to week-long beach vacations.
