Building Community Ties
As
a Community Bank, Gulf Coast Bank and Trust Co. takes pride
in its commitments to several economic, cultural, and civic
organizations around Southeast Louisiana. Our employees
live in the communities where they work and are committed
to preserving our great heritage while building a stronger
future for our state. We have a rich history of reinvesting
in the communities where we serve.
Gulf
Coast Bank believes in building a better future for our
community. Our families and children are the heartbeat of
our community. Throughout Southeast Louisiana we have donated
money, time, and supplies to many local schools. We have
worked with Charter schools such as Warren Easton to rebuild
and open after Hurricane Katrina. We are also the proud
local sponsor of many little league sporting teams. Our
commitment to the next generation continues with donations
to local colleges and support of the Young Leadership Council.
Our
dedication extends to environmental causes such as Save
the Wetlands campaign and the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation.
At the end of 2006, with the help of our customers, we raised
$75,000 needed to complete the first phase of reconstruction
for the historic Lighthouse. Gulf Coast is also a committed
partner to City Park and restoring the Cypress Grove along
Marconi Meadows.
Throughout
the years, we have also supported several local cultural
groups such as St. Bernard’s own Shine Productions
theatre group. We have been a supporter of Louisiana athletics,
including Zephyr baseball and local college athletic associations.
Gulf
Coast Bank is proud to call Louisiana home. And even prouder
to be part of rebuilding a better Louisiana.
