Looking to clear out some of those Mardi Gras throws? There are a few great options around the Greater New Orleans area for you to donate!

Arc of Greater New Orleans (ArcGNO) works to secure for all people with intellectual disabilities opportunities to develop, function, and live to their fullest potential. Among a host of programs, they operate a Mardi Gras bead and throw warehouse where they "turn beads into jobs." The community can donate their carnival throws, and Arc employs people with intellectual disabilities to package and resell the throws to local Mardi Gras krewes. You can find bead drop-off locations by clicking here.

St. Michael School

Since 1965, St. Michael Special School has educated students age six through adulthood with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their students participate in Mardi Gras activities like a school parade throughout the season and use donated throws to make that happen.
